Management students must be knowledgeable, well groomed to enter the world of banking: Priyambada Jha

Patna, July 26: Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) recently organised Leadership Lecture Series programme . On this occasion, Priyambada Jha, an alumnus of the MANAGE and XLRI who is currently working as associate vice president, IndusInd Bank in Delhi, shared her experiences with the students.

She mentioned her seven-year journey from an agriculture graduate to one of the youngest deputy managers in a NBFC and later to an associate vice president in investment banking. She discussed the differences between various types of banking, such as retail, wealth, and private banking, and shared her views on how lucrative and rewarding a banking career can be for students. She gave tips to students on how to get into retail banking and later shift to private banking.

Furthermore, she stressed that the students must be knowledgeable, confident, well groomed, and disciplined to enter the world of banking. She also mentioned ultra HNIs, how she manages them, and how she helps them invest their money in financial securities.

Priyambada mentioned that students must prepare basic questions and engage themselves in online courses related to investment banking to crack the placement interview.
