Patna: In the CK Nayudu Trophy match at Holkar Stadium, Indore, Madhya Pradesh took full control after bowling Bihar out for 112 in their first innings, thanks to a stunning seven-wicket haul by Soumya Pandey. By the close of play on the third day, Madhya Pradesh had raced to 332 for two wickets, securing a 220-run lead.
Bihar, starting the day at 68 for three, collapsed to 112 all out, with Animesh Kumar standing out as the lone fighter, scoring 59 runs. The rest of the Bihar batting line-up faltered, with Himanshu Tiwari and Akash Verma dismissed for ducks, Shashank adding 12, Arnav Kishore 10, Veer Abhimanyu 11, and Pawan Rai 6. Soumya Pandey’s lethal bowling saw him claim 7 wickets, while Adhiraj Pratap chipped in with 3.
In reply, Madhya Pradesh dominated with the bat. Chanchal Rathore’s unbeaten 119 and Akshat Raghuvanshi’s 95 not out led the charge, with Md Arham contributing 59 and Vikas Sharma adding 34.
Izhar and Manish picked up one wicket each for Bihar, but Madhya Pradesh’s commanding lead puts them in a strong position going into the final day.
