Madhubani, Rohtas, Samastipur Score Fluent Wins in BCA Randhir Verma U-19 Trophy

Patna: Madhubani beat Sheohar by 9 wickets in the BCA Randhir Verma U-19 Trophy match at Janki Stadium, Sitamarhi on Saturday. In other matches Rohtas beat Buxar by eight wickets while Samastipur beat Begusarai by 110 runs.

Sheohar vs Madhubani (Janaki Stadium, Sitamarhi)

Sheohar won the toss and batting first scored 114 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 38.3 overs. Vivek A Anand scored 71 runs in 135 balls with five fours and four sixes. Alok B. Ranjan scored 18 runs in 33 balls with two fours and five batsmen returned to the pavilion without opening their account.

For Madhubani, Naresh Kumar Saini took 4 wickets for 18 runs in 10 overs and captain Gautam Bhogendra Kumar and Amarjeet Devnarayan Bhagat got two wickets each. Raunak Kumar Singh and Deepak Kapil Kumar bagged one wicket each.

In reply, Madhubani scored 117 runs for the loss of one wicket in 18.5 overs. Kshitij Kumar Jha scored 33 runs in 46 balls, 4 fours and 1 six, Uttam Hemant Bhardwaj scored 54 runs in 51 balls, 9 fours and 1 six, Ayush Alok Raj scored 11 runs in 16 balls, 2 fours.

For Sheohar, Rishank R. Singh got 1 wicket.

Buxar vs Rohtas (Jagjivan Stadium, Kaimur)

Buxar won the toss and battimg first scored 179 runs for 10 wickets in 42.3 overs. Amitosh Janardan Thakur scored 66 runs in 95 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes and Ashish Sarvjeet Pandey scored 27 runs in 64 balls with 3 fours and Akshay Kumar Mishra scored an unbeaten 18 runs in 25 balls with 3 fours.

Fpr Rohtas, Himanshu Ashok Singh Sato Bhar took 3 wickets and Awadhesh Kumar Yadav, Veeru Kumar Gupta and Ankit Vijendra Kumar got two wickets each. Raj Kishore Kumar got 1 wicket.

In reply, Rohtas scored 185 runs for two wickets in 30 overs. Captain Sant Kumar Singh scored 77 runs in 79 balls with 12 fours and one six, Krish Shiv Arya scored unbeaten 72 runs in 78 balls with 8 fours and three sixes, Prashant Kumar Pathak scored 13 runs in 13 balls with two fours and Ritesh Dilip Kumar scored unbeaten 3 runs.

For Buxar, Ravi Hriday Kumar got two wickets.

Samastipur vs Begusarai (Supaul Stadium, Supaul)

Samastipur won the toss and batting first scored 252 runs for 10 wickets in 49.5 overs. Shashwat scored 63 runs in 83 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes, Aditya Vinay Kumar scored unbeaten 53 runs in 55 balls with 5 fours and Sahil Vibhuti Gautam scored 39 runs in 58 balls with 6 fours.

For Begusarai, Harsh Dheeraj Verma took 3 wickets for 45 runs in 10 overs, Kumar Sanjeev Sandhyayal took 2 wickets and Devraj Kumar and Captain Jayant Jitendra Gautam got one wicket each.

In reply, Begusarai scored 142 runs for 10 wickets off 33.1 overs. Pushpam Naveen Raj scored 32 runs in 44 balls with 5 fours, Ankit Raj Chandravanshi scored 29 runs in 38 balls with 4 fours and Captain Jayant Jitendra Gautam scored 29 runs in 44 balls with 4 fours.

For Samastipur, Badre Alam took 4 wickets, Vikrant Raju Kumar bagged 3 wickets and Ayush Mithilesh Kumar, Captain Abhinav Kumar and Manish Gulab Kumar got one wicket each.
