Lord Buddha Badminton Academy Gaya to organize Mega Talent Hunt from May 5

Patna: Bihar’s first privately owned badminton academy-Lord Buddha Badminton Academy (LBBA), DPS Gaya, will organise a mega talent hunt on May 5 and 6 at the academy hall.

Bihar Badminton Association secretary KN Jaiswal said the talent hunt is open to all budding players across the country, including Bihar. The talent hunt will be organised under the mentorship of renowned former India star Pradeep Gandhe, a Dhyan Chand awardee, Asian Games medalist, and Thomas Cup semi-finalist, he added.

The academy provides the best coaching under a flexible curriculum by good coaches and health experts on a residential and non-residential basis.

The LBBA arranges sponsored badminton kits, nutritious meals, and standard accommodations.

The aspirants must have registered themselves by submitting a fee of Rs 100. Selected players will undergo screening tests for final selection. The decision of the selection committee will be final. The selected players must submit income proof from their parents.

Qualification criteria:

Rules for participation:

  • Based on Rankings, Achievements, & Trials
  • State/National level tournament participants & winners will get preference.
  • Special preference will be given to those belonging to economically weaker sections of society.
  • After scrutiny of all the submitted documents, participants will be allowed an invitation letter for the trials.
  • Registration can be done by May 4, 2023.
  • All players should bring their badminton kit for their trials.
  • Reporting time for trials is 8 a.m. at the venue on May 6, 2023.
