League cum Knock Out Kho-Kho League for Men from December 5

Patna: Acharya Shri Sudarshan Patna Central School will host League cum Knock Out Kho-Kho League for Men from December 5 to 9, 2023. This league will be co-hosted by Kho-Kho Association of Bihar and the school. This information was given by the chairman of the school, Raj Rishi Acharya Shri Sudarshan Ji Maharaj.

He said that Acharya Shri Sudarshan Patna Central School is determined to develop sports. Before this, many national tournaments were organized on the school premises, the live telecast of which was watched by the whole world.

Giving information about this league, Acharya Sudarshan Ji Maharaj said that Kho-Kho is our traditional game. This game is quite popular in Bihar. He said that Kho-Kho players selected from the entire state will show their talent in the league. A total of ten teams will play in it. He said that all the best arrangements for boarding, lodging, and playing of the players will be made in the school premises. The matches will be played day-night on mats.

Acharya Sudarshan Ji Maharaj

Organizing chairman Shashi Bhushan Prasad,CMD, Star India Construction Pvt. Ltd. said that a total cash amount of Rs 1 lakh will be distributed in this league. Along with this, players will be given tracksuits, a playing kit, and mat shoes by the organizing committee. He said that apart from trophies, individual prizes will be given to the winning and runner-up teams. Along with this, mementos and cash prizes will also be given to the best player of the tournament including the best player of each match.

General Secretary of Kho-Kho Association of Bihar, Neeraj Kumar Pappu said that after the successful operation and immense success of Bihar Women’s Kho-Kho League, the association has decided to organize a men’s league. He said that the teams will be formed by the players selected on the basis of selection trial. Selection trial of players was organized on July 16 in Gopalganj in which 500 Kho-Kho players from the entire state participated enthusiastically. A total of 150 players have been selected for the 10 teams.
