Kundan slams century for Rest of Magadh Zone in BCA Super League

Patna:  Rest of Magadh Zone scored a mammoth score of 397 runs in their first innings against Bhagalpur on the first day of the three-day match in the Super League of BCA Senior Cricket Tournament on Wednesday.

For Rest of Magadh Zone, Kundan scored a century while Deepak and Himanshu scored half-centuries. Kundan scored 111 runs in 68 balls with the help of 19 fours and 4 sixes while Deepak scored 72 and Himanshu scored 57 runs.

Rest of Magadh Zone won the toss and decided to bat first. Kundan and Dishant Mishra got off to a good start. There was a 72-run partnership between the two. Expect one or two batsmen, Rest of Magadh Zone batters batted well to guide their side to 397.

For, Bhagalpur, Sachin Kumar and Abhishek took three wickets each.

Rest of Mithila Zone were all for 180 runs after against Begusarai at Kosi Club ground in Birpur (Supaul). Vineet contributed 77 runs, Mukesh 44 runs and Ayush 35 runs for Mithila zone. Atul took five wickets, Sarabjit took three wickets for Begusarai.

Begusarai scored 107 runs for one wicket off 26 overs in their first innings until the end of the first day’s play. Murari contributed 63 runs for Begusarai while Aditya remained unbeaten on 38 runs.

After winning the toss, Rest of Angika invited Rest of Central Zone to bat first in the BCA Senior Inter District Super League at Green Valley Ground, Gulab Bagh. Central Zone scored 222 runs in the first innings losing all wickets in 69.3 overs. Mohammad Alam played a brilliant innings of 94 runs for the Central Zone and missed the century by just 6 runs, while Rahul Remold contributed 40 runs.

Govind Dev took four wickets for 53 runs in 10.3 overs and Himanshu Singh took three wickets for 42 runs in 14 overs. Rest of Angika had scored 52 runs at the end day’s play losing four wickets in their first innings. Neeraj Sharma contributed 23 runs for Rest of Angika. For Rest of Central Zone, Mohammad Zafar Imam and Suman took two wickets each.
