Patna: An all-round performance by Kumar Rajneesh (50 not out, 3 wickets) helped Gardnibagh Athletics Club (GAC) register a resounding ten-wicket win over KNCC in the Patna District Senior Division Cricket League at the Gen-Nex Cricket Academy ground on Sunday.
Batting first after winning the toss, the KNCC team scored 72 runs in 24.2 overs. Sagir Ali made 22 runs. Kumar Rajneesh took 3 for 5, Samar Qadri 2 for 15, and Himanshu Hari and Shashi Anand each took 2 wickets for GAC.
In reply, GAC won the match by scoring 75 runs without losing wickets in 8.1 overs, thanks to Kumar Rajneesh’s unbeaten half-century. Captain Shashi Anand scored an unbeaten 16 runs. Kumar Rajneesh was later adjudged the player of the match.
