Patna: In an exciting final match of the 14th Dhyan Chand Memorial Ball Badminton Championship held under the joint auspices of Bihar Ball Badminton Association and Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhavan, Patna, Kilkari defeated Patna Coaching Camp by 35-26, 33-35, 35-24 in the girls category while Patna Coaching Camp beat Kilkari 35-31,35-33 in in the boys’ category.
The award for the best player of the tournament in the boys’ category was given to Shivam Kumar of Kilkari and in the girls’ category to Archana Kumari of Kilkari. Harshita, Chandni and Pinky played well for Kilkari. Khushi and Anjali played decently for Patna Coaching Camp.
Gaurav, Prashant, Shashikant displayed magnificent game for Patna Coaching Camp and Nitin, Monu, Shivam played will for Kilkari.
After the final match, prizes were distributed among the players by Bihar Ball Badminton Association Secretary Gouri Shankar, Joint Secretary Mitali Mitra, Member Rakesh Ranjan. Kilkari coach Badal Kumar welcomed the guests. Pratibha Verma anchored the stage. Many sports lovers including senior national player Deepak Prakash Ranjan, Rahul Kumar, Neha Kumari and physical teacher Shrimod Pathak were present on this occasion.
