Patna: Kerala registered a commanding 121-run victory over Bihar in the Women’s Under-15 One Day Trophy at KSCA Navule Stadium, Shimoga, Karnataka. After winning the toss, Kerala chose to bat first and posted a strong total of 200 for 5 in their allotted 35 overs. Bihar, in reply, were bundled out for just 79 runs in 26 overs.
Kerala’s batting was led by Aryananda NS, who scored an impressive 69 runs. Lexida Jayan (26*) and Reyna Rose VJ (25*) added crucial runs, while extras contributed significantly with 45 runs. Bihar’s Anushka Singh picked up 2 wickets for 34 runs, and Pratibha Sahni and Chetali Sanjit claimed one wicket each, with one run-out dismissal.
In their chase, Bihar struggled against Kerala’s disciplined bowling. Captain Pratibha Sahni top-scored with 30 runs off 46 balls, supported by Priya Raj (24) and Vice-captain Akshara Gupta (12). However, the rest of the batting order collapsed, with five players dismissed without scoring.
Kerala’s bowlers dominated, with Aritha PV taking an extraordinary 5 wickets for just 6 runs. Athena Prasov Daivik and Aryananda NS chipped in with a wicket apiece, while three Bihar batters were run out.
Bihar will face Haryana in their next match on 27 November.
