Patna: Bihar lost to Kerala by nine wickets in the women’s U-19 one-day tournament at the Vizzy Stadium in Vizianagaram on Saturday.
Bihar team won the toss and electing to bat first, scored 93 runs in 35.4 overs. For Bihar, Vaidehi scored 35 runs, Anjali (10), Anjali Pandit (12) and Harshita (14) were the other rungetters. For Kerala, Nevedhayamol took 3/25, Ashima 2/5, Naiya Nazneen and Anaswara took one wicket each for 6 and 8 runs respectively.
Kerala chased the target and achieved victory by losing one wicket in 20 overs. The only player from Kerala to be dismissed was Diya Girish, who was dismissed by Rishu on an individual score of 26 runs. Urvashi remained unbeaten on 44 runs and Ananya remained unbeaten on 15 runs.
This was Bihar third defeat in four matches. Bihar lost to Assam, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala while won the lone match against Mizoram.
