Patna: BJP Bihar Sports Cell will organise boxing championship for men and women on the second death anniversary of Kameshwar Prasad Shastri in Patna on May 2.
Today, a meeting of state office-bearers of BJP Sports Cell was called under the chairmanship of State Convenor Satish Raju. The meeting unanimously decided that on May 2, on the second death anniversary of late Kameshwar Prasad Shastri, the BJP sports cell will organize a one-day women’s and men’s boxing championship.
Satish Raju while addressing the office-bearers of Sports Cell said that organising an tournament of old games like boxing would be a very commendable work, this would give strength to old games and boost the morale of the players. Late Kameshwar Prasad Shastri was always interested in old games.
Joint convenor of BJP sports cell Mukesh Paswan, spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Yadav, regional in-charge Jai Prakash Mehta, social media in-charge Vikas Singh, Sumit Jha, Shankar Gupta, Kundan Kumar, Kanchan, Renu Kumari, Bhola Thapa, Sushil Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar and many other people were present.
