Kaimur Register 9 Wickets Victory Over Aurangabad in Hayman Trophy

Patna: Kaimur delivered a stellar performance, defeating Aurangabad by 9 wickets in the Hayman Trophy Senior One Day Cricket Championship at the Maharaja College ground in Bhojpur on Monday.

Aurangabad won the toss and opted to bat first, but their innings faltered as they were bowled out for a mere 107 runs in 22 overs. The Aurangabad batsmen struggled against Kaimur’s disciplined bowling attack. Harsh top-scored with 31 runs, while Ayush contributed 23, Harsh Raj Puru added 15, and Karan Raj chipped in with 12. Beyond these contributions, no other batsman managed to reach double figures.

Dhanesh Chauhan was the standout bowler for Kaimur, claiming an impressive 8 wickets for 28 runs in his 10-over spell. He was well-supported by Vikas Patel and Priyam, who took one wicket each.

In response, Kaimur approached the chase with confidence and aggression, reaching the target in just 15.3 overs with only one wicket lost. Abhishek led the charge with an unbeaten 55 runs, while Shashank Upadhyay scored 29 and Gupil Rai remained not out on 6.

Nandan was the lone wicket-taker for Aurangabad. Dhanesh Chauhan’s exceptional bowling performance earned him the Man of the Match award, which was presented by former Hayman Trophy player Chandra Prakash Narayan.

The match was officiated by Deepak and Neeraj from the Bihar State Panel, with Shahbaz and Priyanshu handling the scoring duties. Dr. Abhishek Anand and Dr. Amarjit Singh were present during the match inauguration, introducing themselves to the players. Yashwant Singh, Vice President of the Bihar Athletic Association, also attended the event. The match saw the presence of Bhojpur District Cricket Association officials, League Convenor Akash Kumar, representatives from various clubs, and numerous players.

Aurangabad will next face Buxar in their upcoming fixture.
