Patna: Kaimur crushed Arwal 5-0 in the opening match of the State Level School Subroto Mukerjee Cup Boys Under-17 Football Tournament at Patliputra Sports Complex ground here on Saturday.
Sheikh Ehsan of Kaimur scored a goal in the 9th minute, Mahfuz Khan scored 2 goals in 21st and 45th minutes, Diwan Faizan Khan scored 2 goals in 30th and 47th minute to complete the tally.
The tournament is being organised by the district administration Patna under the aegis of Bihar State Sports Authority and Art, Culture and Youth Department of Bihar government.
In the second match, Gaya beat Saharsa 3-2. Syed Farhan Ashraf of Saharsa scored 2 goals in 54th and 58th minute and Mohd Intekhab Ahmed of Gaya scored 3 goals in 4th, 25th and 27th minutes to win the match 3-2 and entered the next round.
Today’s third match was played between Muzaffarpur vs Jehanabad in which Bablu Kumar of Muzaffarpur scored 2 goals in 2nd and 39th minute, Ashish Ranjan scored 1 goal in 32nd minute and Pappu Kumar scored 1 goal in 42nd minute to register 4-0 win for their team.
