Junior World Cup kabaddi title-winning Indian team player Sagar returns home amid rousing welcome

Patna:  Bihar’s Sagar Kumar, a member of the Junior World Cup Kabaddi gold medal-winning Indian team and a native of Rupas Maruahi village in Bakhtiyarpur Block of Patna district  received a rousing welcome with drum beats on his return home.

Sagar Kumar was warmly welcomed by the office-bearers of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association at Patna’s Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport. Kabaddi lovers gathered at the airport to welcome Sagar with garlands.

Bihar State Kabaddi Association Secretary Kumar Vijay Singh, Vice President Ramakant Singh, General Secretary Kabaddi Association of Jharkhand Vipin Kumar Singh, Doha Asian Games gold medallist Rajeev Kumar Singh, national coach Tej Narayan, and hundreds of Kabaddi players and sports lovers greeted Sagar at the Patna airport.

On this occasion, the band enthralled the audience by performing brilliantly on their tunes. On this occasion, Bihar State Kabaddi Association’s secretary Kumar Vijay Singh said that a grand welcome ceremony should be held for Sagar in Patna on March 12. Later, Sagar Kumar left for his village. The people of his village were present at Jagdamba place to welcome him.

On this occasion, Sagar Kumar said that I could not express my happiness in words. He said what I have achieved today is due to my parents, all the members of my family, Bihar State Kabaddi Association secretary Kumar Vijay Singh, and every office-bearer of the Bihar Kabaddi Association, our senior players, and office bearers of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India. He said that in the future I will try to do better and make my state, Bihar, proud.
