New office-bearers of Wushu Association of India

Meerut: A special general meeting for the election of the Wushu Association of India was held on Sunday at the Godwin Hotel, Meerut. In this meeting, new office bearers were elected for the next session, from 2023 to 2027. Jitendra Singh Bajwa of Meerut was unanimously elected president, Vijay Saraf of Kashmir was elected secretary; and Muralidhar Chaudhary of Assam was elected treasurer.

Shailendra Dubey of Jharkhand was made joint secretary. Besides the six vice presidents, six joint secretaries, and 10 executive members were also elected. This election was held unopposed. The outgoing president, Bhupendra Singh Bajwa, was appointed chairman of the Wushu Association of India, while former treasurer Shivendra Nath Dubey was made associate vice president and Chanchal Bhattacharya was made associate member.

Indian Olympic Association CEO and joint secretary Kalyan Choubey, treasurer Sahdev Yadav, and Amitabh Kumar were present on the occasion. The entire election process was supervised by Sahdev Yadav, while the returning officer was advocate Virender Kumar.
