Jehanabad beat Gaya in Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament

Bihar Sharif: Jehanabad defeated Gaya by 71 runs in the Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament’s Magadh Zone match being held at Nalanda Cricket Ground, Ekangardih in Nalanda district.

Chief guest, ASI Suresh Prasad of Ongari police station gave the man of the match award to Gaurav Kumar of Jehanabad.

Jehanabad won the toss and batted first and scored 255 runs losing 10 wickets in 38.1 overs. For Jehanabad, Pankaj scored 92 runs, Dheeraj 37 runs, Ayush 30 runs and Tushar scored 29 runs. For Gaya, Mayank took 3 wickets, Rahul and Prince took 2 wickets each and Rohit, Yashasvi and Sachin took one wicket each.

In reply, the entire Gaya team could score only 184 runs in 31 overs. For Gaya, Abhishek Rahane contributed 50 runs, Ujjwal contributed 46 runs and Vishal contributed 24 runs.

For Jehanabad, Gaurav Kumar took 6 wickets and Hrithik, Pankaj and A Patel took one wicket each.
