Jamui, June 8: In the match played on Saturday under the Angika Zone of Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament at the local Sri Krishna Stadium, Jamui defeated Banka by 18 runs.
Winning the toss, Jamui batted first and scored 150 runs losing all wickets in 39.1 overs. Rituraj remained unbeaten on 39, Nishu Yadav contributed 34 and Arnav contributed 15 runs. Abhijeet and Anuj of Banka took 2-2 wickets, Santosh, Gaurav and Prince took one wicket each.
Chasing the target of 151 runs, Banka’s team scored only 132 runs in 35.5 overs. Batter Sujal contributed 32 runs and Vineet contributed 30 runs. Jamui’s Ayush Raj and Vikas took three wicket each, Gajendra, Sumit, Ravi Kishan and Shivam took one wickets each.
The Man of the Match award was given to Jamui’s Ayush Raj.
