Patna: Jaabanj and Thunderbolt emerged victorious in their respective matches on Friday in the Asha Baba Champions Trophy Cricket Tournament, held at Krishna Cricket Stadium, Khemnichak, under the aegis of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation.
Jaabanj defeated Changers by nine wickets, while Thunderbolt secured a six-wicket win over Lions.
In the first match, Jaabanj won the toss and opted to field. Changers, batting first, posted a total of 130 runs for the loss of six wickets in 25 overs. In response, Jaabanj chased down the target comfortably, scoring 131 runs for one wicket in just nine overs. Himanshu was named Player of the Match for his impressive performance.
In the second match, Thunderbolt elected to bat first after winning the toss and were bowled out for 134 runs in 24 overs. Lions, in reply, managed 129 runs for nine wickets in 25 overs, falling short of the target. Mayank was awarded Player of the Match for his crucial contribution.
