Patna: India’s first six-lane river bridge is set to be inaugurated in March, marking a significant milestone in road connectivity for Bihar and the North East region. Once operational, the bridge will enhance seamless connectivity between the North East and the rest of the country.
The Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Vijay Sinha, inspected the progress of this groundbreaking project today. He announced that the bridge would be opened to the public in March, emphasising its role in revolutionising regional transportation.
A Marvel of Ultramodern Technology
The bridge, constructed using state-of-the-art technology, has been hailed as a “dream project” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During his review, the Deputy Chief Minister praised the project, describing it as a valuable gift to the state and a testament to modern engineering.
The bridge is expected to significantly reduce travel time and ease freight transportation, making movement in the area far more convenient.
Officials from the construction company provided technical insights into the challenges faced during the project and the innovative solutions deployed to overcome them. This ambitious project, they noted, represents a unique achievement in India’s infrastructure development.
