Indian Jujutsu players given tracksuits and kits by Bihar government

Patna: Bihar Sports Minister Jitendra Kumar Rai and Director-cum-Secretary of the Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA) Pankaj Raj accorded a warm send off to the players of Bihar, who were part of the Indian team for the World Junior and Youth Jujutsu Championship to be held in Tashkent from August 21 to 26 by providing them with tracksuits and kits .

BSSA Director General Raveendran Sankaran wished the players for their best performance. In this form of martial arts recognized by the Government of India, Abhigyat Kumar (73 kg) of Patna, Abhay Kumar Mishra (69 kg) of Katihar, Sanoj Kumar (62 kg), Nilam Kumari (48 kg) of Bhagalpur and Chandni Raj (40kg) are included in Indian team.

All these players will hit the mat in the Navaja Fighting event. Bihar Jujutsu Association President Vinay Kumar Singh, General Secretary Vikas Kumar Singh said that the Indian team will start its campaign from Monday. They said that the training camp organised in collaboration with the Bihar State Sports Authority would definitely be beneficial and the players would return after winning medals.
