IIIT Bhagalpur signs MoU with EduClass Singapore for introducing two postgraduate diploma courses

Bhagalpur: Two postgraduate diploma courses namely Digital Business Management besides Software Engineering and Management would be introduced by Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bhagalpur from January next year. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed today between EduClass Singapore and IIIT, Bhagalpur for the purpose.

The MoU was signed online at a ceremony held at IIIT. Prof Arvind Chowbey, director IIIT and Mr Leslie, chief executive officer of EduClass were among those present on the occasion.  IIIT, Bhagalpur and EduClass would jointly provide training for launching both the courses, as per provisions of MoU.

The online mode certificate courses would be of two years duration. The first semester would consist only course work while in remaining three semesters assured internship would be provided to students in multinational companies. During internship period students would receive stipend of Rs 30000 per month. After completion of courses students would be offered job in multinational companies with attractive pay packages.

EduClass will facilitate learning management system setup, provide qualified lecturers for programme delivery, facilitate learning assessment according to approved curriculums besides would deliver domestic and foreign apprenticeship placement services.

For running the courses, IIIT Bhagalpur would be responsible for ensuring programme management and coordination, providing mentor for each course, managing orientation and academic progress of learners apart from supporting learning operations and administration.

IIIT in consultation with lecturers would maintain attendance of students and also ensure students enrolled in courses are engaged in uninterrupted daily learning of eight hours. At ceremony held to mark signing of memorandum Dr Gurav Kumar, in-charge, register of IIIT, speaking about the institution referred to achievements of institution.

In his address on the occasion chief executive officer of EduClass said the courses proposed to be introduced would provide assured employment opportunities to students.

Prof Arvind Chowbey, director, IIIT speaking on the occasion said introduction of postgraduate diploma courses would help attaining objectives of self reliant India. In future new innovative certification courses would be launched by the institution, he informed. Prof Chowbey added by offering such programmes institute will be able to attain new heights.

Those present on occasion of signing of MoU included Dr Samir Kharkatnis, Yangpoo (Indian partner of EduClass) Mr Mahesh Kumar- Higher Ed Lead, Mr Paxton- Sales Operation Lead.

The IIIT faculty members and officials present on the occasion included Dr Sandeep Raj, Head of Centre, AI &Data Science and Associate Dean (R&C) Dr Dheeraj Kumar Sinha, Associate Dean (Student Welfare) beside other associate deans and head of different departments.
