IIIT Bhagalpur Imparting Short Term Course on Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things

Bhagalpur: A short term course aimed at imparting knowledge and training on fundamentals and advancements in artificial intelligence besides internet of things in biomedical engineering is being conducted at Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bhagalpur.

Being imparted on online mode the course that started on May 2 would conclude on May 6. The course is being conducted by IIIT, Bhagalpur taking into consideration it would prove beneficial for faculty members, research scholars and postgraduate students intending to do research in field of processing and data analysis using techniques such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning and internet of things for biomedical engineering.

Application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning and internet of things in biomedical engineering are broad areas in which course participants are being provided knowledge.

Making participants aware about working of artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning and internet of things along with motivations in biomedical engineering besides formulation of problems into artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning and internet of things forms part of the short-term course.

The course participants are also being provided knowledge about application of concepts and practical knowledge concerning analysis, design and development of artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning and internet of things.

Providing information about biomedical issues that are presently being tackled by health care communities through artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning and internet of things besides possible solutions of the issues through use of the techniques is part of the course design.

Total 127 learners are participating in the short-term course of which 55.1% are undergraduate students, 11% are postgraduate students. 6.3% are research scholars, 22.8% are faculty members and rest are industry professionals.

Earlier on Tuesday this week the programme of imparting short-term course was inaugurated by Prof Arvind Chowbey, director, IIIT, Bhagalpur. M N Doja, director, IIIT, Sonepat and Prof S K Patra, director, IIIT, Vadodara were respectively chief guest and guest of honour on the occasion. The keynote speakers on the occasion included Mr Kundan Lal, president Vitti foundation, Dr Dilip Kumar Chowbey and Dr Babul Prasad Tewari, assistant professors of IIT, Bhagalpur. The resource person form IIIT’s and NIT’s besides industry professionals are among those imparting the course.
