Hyderabad Post 349 as Bihar Struggle Early in U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy Opener

Patna: Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bat first in the U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy match, which began today at the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium. Hyderabad scored 349 runs before being all out in their first innings. Hyderabad’s captain, Mayank Gupta, shone with a brilliant century, scoring 115 runs. Manish Kumar of Bihar was the standout bowler, taking five wickets.

Before the start of the season’s first match in Bihar, Chairman of the Bihar Legislative Council, Awadhesh Narayan Singh, and Patna Mayor, Sita Sahu, met with the players and offered their encouragement. The chief guests and BCCI match officials were welcomed with bouquets and shawls. On this occasion, Bihar Cricket Association President Rakesh Kumar Tiwari expressed his gratitude to the guests and provided instructions to ensure the match ran smoothly.

In Hyderabad’s innings, aside from the captain’s century, Avinash contributed 60 runs, Vignesh Reddy scored 53, Aman Rao added 34, Paras chipped in with 37, and Ilian made 20 runs. For Bihar, along with Manish’s five-wicket haul, Anup took two wickets, while Aditya and Suraj each took one.

In response, Bihar struggled, losing two wickets for just 20 runs in their first innings. Animesh was dismissed for one, and Anup Kumar was out for a duck. N Nitin of Hyderabad took both wickets.
