Patna: The Hundred 1st Bihar Sub-Junior (U-15 and U-17) State Ranking Badminton Tournament is scheduled to take place in Muzaffarpur from 9th to 13th January 2025. The tournament, organised under the aegis of the Bihar Badminton Association (BBA), will feature a large number of participants from its affiliated units.
According to BBA Secretary K. N. Jaiswal, the last date for entries is 5th January, and the withdrawal deadline is 6th January.
Events and Participation Guidelines:
- Categories: Boys’ and girls’ singles and doubles.
- Entry Fees:
- Singles: ₹1000
- Doubles: ₹2000
- Participation Rules:
- U-15 players can participate in one singles and one doubles event.
- U-15 players are also eligible to compete in one U-17 event.
- U-17 players can participate in one singles and one doubles event.
Clothing Regulations:
Jaiswal emphasised that players must adhere to the Badminton Association of India (BAI) clothing guidelines. The player’s name must be displayed on the back of the T-shirt near the collar, with lettering sized between 6 to 10 cm in a contrasting colour.
Entry Submission Rules:
- District secretaries are instructed not to collect entries or fees directly from players. All entries sent to the BBA will be considered as having been submitted along with the entry fee.
- For doubles events involving players from different districts, district secretaries must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned district secretary before submitting the entry.
The tournament promises to be an exciting platform for young badminton talent in Bihar, fostering competition and sportsmanship among emerging players.
