Golden Valley Central School lift cricket trophy

Patna: Golden Valley Central School won the first Ambedkar-Ramai Ram Memorial Under-17 Cricket Tournament title, defeating Royal Cricket School by 51 runs at Sanjay Gandhi Stadium on Sunday.

Batting first, Golden Valley Central School scored 219 runs in 20 overs. In reply, the Royal Cricket School team could score 168 runs in 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets.

Uttam Kumar of the winning team was awarded the man of the match. Chief guest and former sports minister Shivchandra Ram gave away the man of the match trophy to Uttam Kumar of Golden Valley Central School.

MLA Ranvijay Sahu, Dr Geeta Kumari, Principal of DAV BSEB, AC Jha, former players Rajesh Rana, Amitabh Pali, Arvind Jha, Ajay Mishra, and current senior players Kumar Rajnish and Manish Kumar attended the event.
