By Our Correspondent

Sambhal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that the God has entrusted him with the responsibility “to build the temple of the nation and lead it to the path of grandeur.”

Addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone of Shri Kalki Dham Temple at Ainchoda Kamboh village of Sambhal district, the Prime Minister said that India today is moving from defeat to victory. “India is no longer a follower, it is instead setting examples for the world to emulate”, the Prime Minister remarked.

“India suffered invasions for hundreds of years. Had it been any other country it would have been destroyed by now. But, we are still standing. The sacrifices made over centuries are now coming to fruition, akin to a seed lying dormant for an extended period, only to sprout during the rainy season”, PM Modi asserted.

The Prime Minister added: “Just as Pramod Krishnam is building a temple here, I too have been entrusted with the responsibility of building the temple of the nation and lead it to the path of grandeur. For the first time, India, rather than following, is blazing the trail for the world to emulate.”

“We are seen as a potential country in innovation and IT sector. We are the fifth largest economy of the world and the first country to reach the south pole of the Moon. Vande Bharat and Namo Bharat trains have started running while bullet train is going to run soon. Every person in the country feels proud today. Now our power is infinite and our possibilities immense”, the Prime Minister remarked further.

The cycle of time has changed, a new era has begun

Emphasising that the cycle of time has changed, ushering in a new era in the country the Prime Minister informed that the Shri Kalki Dham temple complex will be built on 5 acres in a period of five years, embellished with pink stones of Bansi Paharpur, which also adorn Somnath temple of Gujarat and Ram temple of Ayodhya.

He said that the height of the temple will be 108 feet and steel, or iron, will not be used in its construction. There will be a total of 10 sancta sanctorum at Shri Kalki Dham temple in which idols of 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu will be installed.

Speaking about Pramod Krishnam, the Prime Minister said that he has devoted his entire life to fulfilling the promise that he made to his mother, which is exemplary, adding that his mother’s soul must be happier than him.

PM takes a jibe at opposition over donation

Taking a jibe at the opposition, PM Modi said that times have changed so much today that had the video of Sudama giving rice to Lord Krishna released, a PIL would have been filed against Lord Krishna for indulging in corruption.

PM Modi recalled the divine experience of Ram Lalla’s presence, adding that he has also been a witness to the opening of the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, hundreds of kilometers away from the country.

“Things beyond imagination are also becoming reality. We all have seen the rejuvenation of Kashi and the glory of Mahalok of Mahakaal during this period. Today, on one hand, pilgrimage sites are being developed and on the other, infrastructure is built in the cities. Temples along with colleges are being built and foreign investment is also coming. This change is proof that the wheel of time has turned”, PM pointed out.

Kalki Dham is a symbol of faith of devotees across the country

The Prime Minister said that many saints, religious leaders and other well-known people have attended Kalki Dham today while the ritual of worship has been performed amidst chant of Vedic mantras associated with Baba Mahakal temple of Ujjain. Kalki Dham is being constructed by Kalki Dham Nirman Trust.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Jagatguru Avadheshanand Giri, Kailashanand Giri and many saints from across the country were present in the programme.
