Bihar Sharif, June 6: On the basis of the brilliant century innings of Ayush Kumar (136 runs not out, 118 balls, 21 fours, 1 six), Gaya defeated Nawada by 56 runs in the Magadh Zone match of Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament. This is Gaya’s third consecutive win. Gaya’s Pawan Bhardwaj played an unbeaten innings of 50 runs.
Gaya won the toss in the match played at the local Nalanda Cricket Ground and decided to bat first. Gaya batted first and scored 249 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Apart from Ayush and Pawan, Pritam Raj scored 16, Adarsh Raj scored 11, Yashasvi Rai scored 26 runs.
Raj Pandey took 4 and Ishu Kumar took 1 wicket for Nawada.
