Five players share lead in Ambedkar Prize Money Chess Tournament

Patna: Md Javed Ullah, Puella Karthik Anand, Om Kashyap,  Rupesh V Chand, Devraj Piyush Kumar were leading the table with 2 points each at end of the second round of the 37th Ambedkar Prize Money Chess Tournament, being held under the aegis of Ambedkar Khel Vihar at Patna Youth Hostel on Friday.

Organising secretary JK Das said that in the third group of the tournament to be held from April 15 to 17, for above 19 years players. He said the top five players will get a cash prize of Rs 20000 each.

Results: Karthik Anand beat  Adiva, Om Kashyap beat Pari Sinha, Mohammad Javed Ullah beat Arshi, Arnav Sinha. Riyal Vaas defeated Ekant Kumar Bhardwaj,  Anand drew with Stuti Sinha. Shreeja Sadhna defeated Prashant Srivastava, Vagisha Anand defeated Pragyan Raj, Rupesh Dewan Chand defeated Abdullah

JK Das further said that the in view of the large number of participants, the 37th Ambedkar Inter School Carrom Tournament will be extended to three days. The tournament will  begin from April 26 at the Patna Youth Hostel.

He said that International School ICSC, St Dominic’s School,  Don Bosco Academy,  St Stephen’s School,  Rose International Girls’ School, Gyan Niketan Girls Schools,  St Karen’s School,  Indrapuram Girls School,  DAV Public School,  Carmel High School, St Joseph’s Convent High School, Ishan International School,  Gyan Niketan School  have confirmed their participation.
