Patna: World-famous cricketers such as Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Rahul Dravid, Ravi Shastri, Mohammad Azharuddin, Anil Kumble, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Virender Sehwag, Mohinder Amarnath, Ajay Jadeja, Vinod Kambli, and others attended the prize distribution ceremony of Sukhdeo Cricket, offering encouragement to the players. Today, Sukhdeo Cricket players are representing their district, state, and country, bringing pride to the nation.
A meeting of the tournament committee was convened to review preparations for the 38th edition of the Sukhdeo Narain Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament, which has spent the last 37 years nurturing talent and elevating it to the international level. It was decided that the final match will be played on the turf wicket of Urja Stadium. The match will be conducted in the style of the IPL, with the tournament committee providing colourful kits to the players at no cost.
The matches will follow a league-cum-knockout format, with games held on the turf wicket of Jagjivan Stadium. The tournament committee will also supply the balls free of charge for all matches. After reviewing the entry forms, a three-member committee has been formed to give the final approval for teams participating in the tournament. The committee’s decision will be final.
