Patna: Due to the fine half-centuries of Rohit Raj (67 runs) and Rishabh Raj (54 not out) and superb bowling of Priyanshu Singh (4 wickets), ERCC started their victory campaign in Patna District Senior Division Cricket League by defeating RBNYAC by 109 runs.
The league, which started on Saturday, March 29, at the local Jagjivan Stadium, was inaugurated by Bihar Cricket Association President Rakesh Kumar Tiwari, Lakshya Engitech Managing Director SN Raju, social worker Mukesh Kumar. They were also introduced to the players. Patna District Cricket Association Secretary Rajesh Kumar welcomed the guests and League Convenor Dhananjay Kumar Singh proposed a vote of thanks. Many dignitaries including Dr. Mukesh Kumar Singh, Nishant Kumar, Suday Kumar, Ashutosh Jyoti Singh were present on this occasion. Commentator Mrityunjay Jha anchored the stage.
ERCC won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 261 runs for 8 wickets in the stipulated 35 overs. In reply, RBNYAC scored 152 runs for 9 wickets in 30.2 overs. One player was retired hurt. Utkarsh Kumar scored 72 runs for RBNYAC which went in vain. ERCC’s Priyanshu Singh (14 runs, 4 wickets) was awarded the Player of the Match award.
