Patna, July 19: ECO Task Force of Patna Women’s College organised tree plantation programme on Monday. To spread awareness about the forests, in the month of July, trees are planted all over the country every year on the occasion of Van Mahotsav.
In order to promote this practice, the ECO Task Force of Patna Women’s College, planted saplings on Monday in the college campus (Near Science Block),
PWC principal Dr Sister M Rashmi, AC planted the first sapling of Neem tree. She explained the importance of tree plantation and how to protect them.
Dr. Shobha Shrivastava, head of the department of zoology, Dr Sister M Stuti AC, Dr. Sumeet Ranjan, Dr Sapna Kumari, Dr. Neetu, Rajeev Ranjan, Sister Devshree and Dr. Sugandha Priya of the department of zoology (PWC) also planted saplings.
Four Neem, four Amla, four Guava, four Lime, four Palm and four Spider plant saplings were planted. Altogether 100 students of the science departments participated enthusiastically in this programme. They displayed many beautifully made placards related to save trees, plant trees and turn the earth green.
