Patna: In the 71st Bihar State football championship for SM Moinul Haque Cup organised by Bihar Football Association, Eastern Railway Jamalpur defeated Supaul district 2-0 at RAMK Inter School Ground in Banka on Saturday.
Sunil Marandi scored the first goal in the 66th minute and 8 Akshay Kumar scored the second goal in the 75 minute for Eastern Railway Jamalpu.
Bihar Football Association secretary Syed Imtiyaz Hussain said that Banka district won all its four matches in the group A and qualified for the main tournament.
In today’s match, Banka district football Association president Jitendra Singh, vice president Ashok Kumar, secretary Sanjeev Kumar Sinha and other officials were present.
