East Champaran, Jamui, Jehanabad, Saharsa Post Victories in BCA Men’s U23 One Day Trophy Tournament

Patna: The Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) Men’s U23 One Day Trophy Tournament saw a series of exhilarating matches today, with East Champaran, Jamui, Jehanabad, Saharsa, Nalanda, Madhubani, and Madhepura emerging victorious in their respective encounters.

1. East Champaran vs West Champaran (DL Singh Cricket Ground, Sadisopur, Patna)

East Champaran secured a convincing 6-wicket win over West Champaran.
West Champaran batted first, posting 184 runs in 44.4 overs. Aditya Kumar Singh top-scored with 45 runs, supported by Himanshu Sanjay Tiwari (42) and Vishwajeet Shailesh Shukla (20). Yogeshwar Narendra Kumar claimed two wickets for West Champaran.
In reply, East Champaran chased down the target in 37.5 overs, scoring 188 for 4. Amit Shubham Kumar led the charge with 61 runs, while Yusuf Jahangir Nadeem contributed 42. Shivam Kumar Singh starred with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 37 runs.

2. Lakhisarai vs Jamui (Sandesh Compound, Bhagalpur)

Jamui triumphed by 5 wickets in a closely contested match.
Lakhisarai set a target of 190 runs, with captain Ravi Vinod Singh scoring 73 runs. However, Jamui’s Vishal Rajesh Kumar stole the show with an unbeaten 113, guiding his team to victory in 37 overs. Aman Kumar Singh was the pick of the bowlers, taking 5 wickets for 45 runs.

3. Arwal vs Jehanabad (VDCA Cricket Ground, Bidupur, Patna)

Jehanabad claimed a 5-wicket win over Arwal.
Arwal were bowled out for 142 runs, with captain Dipesh Kumar Gupta scoring 39. Jehanabad chased down the target in 28.3 overs, thanks to Kumar Arvind Shrey’s unbeaten 53. Adarsh Akhileshwar Lal was the standout bowler, taking 7 wickets for 52 runs.

4. Supaul vs Saharsa (HURL Cricket Ground, Bihat, Begusarai)

Saharsa clinched a thrilling 1-wicket victory in a high-scoring encounter.
Supaul posted a mammoth 358 runs, with Gulshan Kumar smashing 133 off just 42 balls. Saharsa’s Sahil Raj responded with a brilliant 149, steering his team to 359 for 9 in 48.5 overs. Ayush Nitesh Kumar Singh took 3 wickets for 79 runs.

5. Nalanda vs Gaya (London Cricket Ground, Nawada)

Nalanda dominated Gaya, winning by 188 runs.
Nalanda set a formidable total of 319 runs, with Arnav Naval Kishore scoring a century (110). Gaya were bowled out for 131, as Aditya Mahesh Kumar took 4 wickets for just 19 runs.

6. Sheohar vs Madhubani (Janaki Stadium, Sitamarhi)

Madhubani secured a 6-wicket victory over Sheohar.
Sheohar were restricted to 128 runs, with Manish P Kumar taking 4 wickets. Madhubani chased down the target in 25.2 overs, with Vijay Kumar Mandal scoring an unbeaten 56.

7. Madhepura vs Kishanganj (Vidya Vihar Cricket Ground, Purnia)

Madhepura won by 105 runs in a commanding performance.
Madhepura posted 299 runs, with Hemant Kumar (63) and captain Hemant Singh (62) leading the charge. Kishanganj were bowled out for 194, with Aarav Raj taking 3 wickets for 37 runs.

The tournament continues tomorrow with matches including Arwal vs Vaishali, Munger vs Lakhisarai, Muzaffarpur vs Shivhar, Khagaria vs Saharsa, West Champaran vs Gopalganj, Kishanganj vs Araria, and Nawada vs Gaya.
