Muzaffarpur: East Champaran crushed Sitamarhi by 4 goals to nil (4-0) in the Moinul Haq Cup 71st Bihar State Inter-District Football Championship at LS College Ground on Monday.
Earlier before the kickoff, Prasenjit Mehta, President, Bihar Football Association, Prabhakar Jaiswal, Vice President, Bihar Football Association, Selector Harnam Singh, Ashwani Khatri, President, MFA Sunil Kumar, Executive Secretary, MFA Pankaj Kumar; GD Madar PN Tiwari; and Ramesh Kumar were introduced to the players.
East Champaran were leading two goals to nil at halftime. In the first half, Rehan scored the first goal for East in the 28th minute. Sumit Yadav increased the tally in the 32nd minute.
After the lemon break, Vishwajeet scored the third goal in the 51st minute, and Sohail scored the fourth goal in the 76th minute.
Arun Hansda (Patna), Tarun Kumar (Samastipur), Santosh Pandey (Buxar) and Shashi Kumar Suman (Patna) were the judges for the match.
Dr Shahrukh Firoz is giving his support as a physiotherapist, and medical and ambulance facilities are being provided by Dr. Parasar Hospital, and the Red Cross Society of Muzaffarpur. Muzaffarpur Football Association’s tournament coordinator, Shailendra Kumar, said that on July 18, Sheohar will face Vaishali.
