Patna: On the second day of the Bihar State Under-11 Chess Championship, organised by Megaminds Club under the aegis of the All Bihar State Chess Association, Devansh Keshari surged ahead in the boys’ category with 5 points, while Mohini Pandit led the girls’ category with 4 points.

In the boys’ section, Devansh Keshari of Patna secured a crucial win on the top board, defeating Yash Raman of Muzaffarpur with the white pieces to claim the sole lead. On board two, the match between Om Kashyap and Yuvan Raman ended in a draw. Aakarsh Anand triumphed over Javin Jaiswal on board three, and Advik Kumar defeated Ayush Raj on board four, both players moving to the top positions alongside Devansh.

In the girls’ category, second-seeded Mohini Pandit took the lead by defeating Vriti Vaibhav on the top board. Top-seeded player Ankita Raj won her match against Aradhya Prakash on board two, and Dhanvi Karmakar defeated Anya, with both players now tied for second place with three and a half points each.

Chief Arbiter Nandkishore announced that the final day of the championship will feature two rounds in the boys’ category and one round in the girls’ category.
