Delhi, Madhya Pradesh start campaign on winning notes at 44th National Throwball Championship

Gopalganj: Delhi and Madhya Pradesh men and women teams won their respective matches easily on the opening day of the 44th Senior National Throwball Championship at Smart Move Academy courts in Panchdeori block Gopalganj on Saturday.

Earlier, the tournament had an spectacular opening with participating teams taking part in the march past and several other eye-catching programmes.  A grand rally was also organised in the evening.

Thousands of local dignitaries and sports lovers gathered at the Smart Move Academy ground to witness the spectacular opening function. A history was also created as for the first time, Gopalganj is hosting a national event and throwball is being played on the mats .

Under the banner of Throwball Federation of India and Throwball Association of Bihar, Throwball Association of Gopalganj and Shining Souls (Trust) the 44th Senior National Throwball Championship was inaugurated by Dr Nawal Kishore Chaudhary, DM of Gopalganj,  Block Development Officer cum Organizing President of Panchdeori Block Manish Kumar Srivastava and Throwball Federation of India General Secretary Naresh Mann, Chairman Kamal Goswami, Throwball Association of Bihar Secretary Neeraj Kumar Pappu.  Vice President Karma, Treasurer Bala Vinayakam including the office-bearers of the federation and state associations were present on the occasion.  Mahendra Singh Tyagi, General Secretary of Kho-Kho Association of India specially participated in the opening rally.
