Patna: In the final of the Baidyanath Prasad Memorial Under-13 Cricket Tournament, Basawan Park Cricket Academy will compete against Cricket Academy of Patna. The latter secured their place in the final with a commanding 77-run victory over SPS CCC in the second semi-final.
The semi-final, held at the Cricket Academy of Bihar ground, saw Cricket Academy of Patna win the toss and opt to bat. They posted a challenging total of 181 for nine in 22 overs, courtesy of Avinash Kumar’s stellar 56-run knock. In response, SPS CCC were bowled out for 104 in 18.3 overs. Avinash Kumar’s all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award.
Shishir Kumar, son of the late Baidyanath Prasad and the tournament’s organising president, announced that the final will be played on the turf wicket at Moinul Haque Stadium. The closing ceremony is expected to witness the presence of several dignitaries.
