Patna: Crescent CC and PESU won their respective matches played on Monday in the Patna District Senior Division Cricket League. Crescent CC defeated Bata CC by 36 runs, and PESU defeated Adhikari XI by 10 wickets.
At 22 Yard Cricket Academy Ground, Adhikari XI won the toss and batting first scored 91 runs losing all wickets in 18.4 overs. Roshan scored 18 runs. Rahul Rathore took five wickets for PESU.
In reply, PESU won the match by scoring 92 runs without losing any wicket in 8 overs with the help of Piyush Kumar Singh’s 76 runs. Piyush Kumar Singh (76 runs, 1 wicket) of the winning team was given the Player of the Match award.
In the match played at Gennex Cricket Academy, Crescent CC won the toss and, batting first, scored 201 runs, losing all wickets in 35 overs. In reply, Bata CC were all out for 165 runs in 32.3 overs. Abhinav Sinha scored 51 and Mohammad Rafi scored 37 runs for Crescent CC, while Satyam Jha scored 62 runs for Bata CC. Mohammad Yasin took four wickets for Crescent.
Earlier today, the players of Adhikari XI observed a two-minute silence during the Senior Division League match to pay homage to their former skipper, the late Prafulla Verma.
