Col C K Nayudu Trophy: Bengal take first innings lead, Vaibhav scores 44 runs for Bihar

Patna: Bihar were still 112 runs behind at the end of the second day’s play in the match being played against Bengal under the Col CK Nayudu Trophy. Bihar’s first innings folded for 180 runs. Bengal scored 31 runs for 1 wicket in their second innings. Bengal scored 261 runs in their first innings.

On the second day of the game, Bengal started playing with 227 runs for seven wickets and were all out for 261 runs. For Bengal, Sahitya Hazara scored 51, Prayas Rai Varman scored 61, Arin Rai scored 54, Rohit Kumar scored 13, Vaibhav Yadav scored 34 runs.

For Bihar, Anuj Raj took 6 wickets for 65 runs, Vasudev Prasad Singh took 1 wicket for 44 runs, Aditya Anand took 1 wicket for 28 runs and Suraj Kashyap took 2 wickets for 61 runs.

Ayush Loharuka and Vaibhav Suryavanshi began Bihar innings. Both added 65 runs. Bihar got the first blow in the form of Ayush Loharuka on the team score of 65 runs. Ayush was out after scoring 23 runs in 40 balls. After this, three more wickets fell within 28 runs. Ankit Raj was out after scoring 17 runs, Akash Raj after scoring 4 runs. Before getting out, Vaibhav Suryavanshi played his best innings. He scored 44 runs in 49 balls with the help of 7 fours. After this, Mohammad Alam and Ayush Anand played cautiously and made an important partnership of 53 runs. Bihar got the fifth blow in the form of Ayush Anand at a total of 146 runs. Ayush Anand scored 25 runs in 48 balls with the help of 3 fours. Abhishek Ojha also could not do anything special and returned to the pavilion after scoring only 2 runs. After this, Bihar’s wicket kept falling at regular intervals and the team was all out for 180 runs in 51.3 overs. Mohammad Alam scored 36 runs in 64 balls with the help of 4 fours, Suraj Kashyap scored 19 runs in 37 balls with the help of 2 fours. Aditya Anand played an inning of 6 runs. Anuj Raj returned to the pavilion without opening his account while Vasudev Prasad Singh remained unbeaten without opening his account.

For Bengal, Rohit Kumar took 5 wickets for 49 runs, D Halder took 2 wickets for 44 runs, Vaibhav Yadav took 2 wickets for 17 runs, Prayas Rai Varman took 1 wicket for 28 runs.

Bengal did not have a good start in the second innings. Anuj Raj gave them the first blow in the form of Sahitya Hazra on five runs. Hazra could not open the account.

In this match being played at the Bengal Cricket Academy Ground in Kalyani, Bengal, Bengal has scored 31 runs for 1 wicket in 12 overs in its second innings. Mohit Rai is playing with 23 runs and Vaibhav Yadav is playing with 8 runs and Bengal’s total lead is 112 runs.
