Coaching camp of junior ball badminton team concludes

Patna: The first phase of the five-day coaching camp of the Bihar Junior Ball Badminton team (boys and girls), organized under the auspices of the Bihar Ball Badminton Association and by the East Champaran District Ball Badminton Association at Majurahan, Motihari (East Champaran) concluded on Monday.

A ball badminton match was organized today on the last day of the camp. In the boys category match, Bihar Coaching Camp became the winner by defeating the Rest of Bihar in two consecutive sets by 35-24,35-28. In the girls category, Bihar Coaching Camp got defeated Bihar Blue in two consecutive sets by 35-27,35-25.

In the boys category, Ashish Ojha, Sumit Kumar, Santu Maharaj, Shashikant, Chhotu Kumar from Bihar Coaching Camp and Pushkar Kumar, Ajit Kumar, Shashank Kumar, Muskaan Kumar from Rest of Bihar performed well. In the girls’ category match, Muskaan Kumari, Kajal Kumari, Khushi Kumari, Komal Kumari, Deepali Verma from Bihar Coaching Camp and Sakshi Kumari, Anu Kumari, Bittu Kumari, Shabnam Khatoon from Bihar Blue performed brilliantly.

Prizes were distributed among the winning and runner-up teams by Raghunathpur police station in-charge Vikas Kumar, founder president of Nargada Seva Samiti Munna Giri, Ward-32 councilor Dolly Singh and organizing secretary Arun Singh.

According to Gouri Shankar, Secretary of Bihar Ball Badminton Association, the second camp of the Bihar team participating in the 68th Junior National Ball Badminton Championship to be held at Patliputra Sports Complex, Kankarbagh, Patna from March 10 to March 14 will be organized from March 1 at Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhawan, Patna ground. ​
