Patna: The first selection trial for forming teams for the fifth season of the Casa Picolla School Cricket League Under-15, organised by Turning Point, concluded on Sunday at the Rajiv Cricket Academy (Veena Vidya Niketan School, Rajiv Nagar, Patna).
The trial was inaugurated by Turning Point Director and Organising President Vijay Sharma, GNIOT University representative Ashwini Sharma, and League Technical Director Saurabh Chakraborty, who introduced themselves to the players before the proceedings began.
The selection process was conducted under the supervision of Technical Director Saurabh Chakraborty and led by Suman Agarwal, with Praveen Sinha and Prince Kumar serving as selectors.
Organising Secretary Naveen Kumar stated that a total of 168 players participated in the trial, out of which 60 players were shortlisted. The trial assessed players’ batting, bowling, wicketkeeping, and overall fitness.
Organising President Vijay Sharma expressed satisfaction with the overwhelming response to the first trial, noting that an even larger turnout is expected for the second trial. The next trial is scheduled for 22 December at Super Over Cricket Academy, Mithila Colony, Digha, starting at 8 am.
Eligibility and Guidelines
Trial in-charge Sumit Sharma emphasised that participants must be students from schools within Patna district. Players are required to bring their Aadhaar card, birth certificate, and school enrolment certificate to the trial venue. He also cautioned that any external interference during the trial would result in disqualification.
