Patna: The third season of the Casa Piccola School Cricket League (U-15), organised under the aegis of Turning Point, began with the unveiling of the trophy. Rajesh Sharma, MD, Casa Piccola, Mrityunjay Tiwari, President, Bihar Players Association, Vijay Sharma, MD-cum-organising chairman, Turning Point, Sumit Sharma of Sumit & Sharma Sports, Dhananjay Sinha, MD, Tagore Educourse, BPS & CWA Secretary Prem Ranjan and senior cricketer Saurabh Chakraborty unveiled the trophies to be given to the winning and runner-up teams on Monday.
Turning Point’s MD cum-organising chairman Vijay Sharma said that Turning Point has been doing good work in the field of education. Our efforts are on to bring forward the talents of Bihar in the field of sports, which have yielded good results. The school cricket league will formally start in the second week of December with the selection trial process.
He said that selection trials will be organised at four-five venues and 12 teams will be formed through the selection trials for this league. Each team will be purchased by the top colleges and universities in the country. He said that colour dress franchise honours will be provided to all the teams playing in this league to be organised on the lines of IPL.
He said the matches will be organised on league basis. The format of the match will be 20-20. Sharma informed that Man of the Match award will be given every day. Apart from this, individual prizes will also be given on to the members of winning and runner-up teams apart from the glittering trophy. Along with this, some special prizes will also be given this time. Best Bowler, Best Batsman and Man of the League, Best Wicketkeeper, Best Fielder and Emerging Player will be awarded.
He said that we successfully organised two editions of the league and organised prize-distribution ceremony separately. Veteran players, coaches and others were honoured in the prize-distribution function.
Casa Piccola MD Rajesh Sharma said that the company has become a partner of this league while discharging its social responsibilities. He said that our company will do whatever necessary to bring forward the sporting talent.
Mrityunjay Tiwari, President of Bihar Players Association, while giving his best wishes, said that the last two events have been wonderful. Many talents have come forward from this league. Our best wishes to the organisers for a better event this year, he said.

An organising committee has been formed for the successful conduct of the league. Vijay Sharma has been named chairman of the organising committee. Sardar Patel Sports Foundation general secretary Santosh Tiwari will be the organizing secretary while Saurabh Chakraborty will be the technical director.
