Patna: Canva Cricket Academy became champion in the U-16 and U-14 categories of the one day final match of the cricket champiosnhip while Mount Litera Zee School Cricket Academy were runners-up in both the categories at Chinta Devi Cricket Ground in Pandarak, Patna on Sunday.
Canva Cricket Academy beat Mount Lietra Zee School by 9 wickets in the U-16 category and beat the same rival by 8 wickets in U-14 category.
In the U-16 category, Mount Litera Zee School Cricket Academy won the toss and batting first, scored 51 runs losing all wickets in 15.3 overs. Om scored 10 and Adityam scored 8 runs. Nishant of Canva Cricket Academy took 4 wicket and Ankit took 2 two wickets. Karanveer, Ayan and Kunal took one wicket each.
In reply, Canva Cricket Academy won the match by scoring 52 runs for 1 wicket in 4.5 overs. Ishant Kumar scored 34 runs. Ayush Sharma took 1 wicket. Nishant of the winning team was given the Player of the Match award.
In the Under-14 category, Mount Litera Zee School Cricket Academy, Barh won the toss and batting first and scored 39 runs in 13.2 overs losing all wickets. Anees Raj scored 11 and Anirudh Singh scored 4 runs. Extras contributed 13 runs. Saksham, Sumit, Prince and Govind took two wickets each for Canva Cricket Academy while Dilkhush took 1 wicket.
In reply, Canva Cricket Academy scored 41 runs for 2 wickets in 5.5 overs and won the match. Niten Singh scored 26 not out. Keshav and Anees Raj took one wicket ecah for Mount Litera Zee School Cricket Academy. Govind was adjudged the Player of the Match.
Director of Mount Litera Zee School, Barh, Kaushal Kishore Sharma while congratulating the players of the winning and runner-up teams said that the cycle of winning and losing continues in sports.
