CAB Red Post Commanding Win in Akhilesh Memorial Under-13 Cricket Opener

Patna: The Akhilesh Memorial Under-13 Cricket Tournament kicked off on Sunday, 1 December, at the Cricket Academy of Bihar (CAB) Ground, with CAB Red clinching a dominant eight-wicket victory over CAB Blue in the opening match.

The tournament was inaugurated by International Cricket Coach Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad, Empowered Committee Member of Patna Municipal Corporation Indradeep Chandravanshi, and former cricketer Sumit Sharma. The dignitaries were introduced to the players during the opening ceremony, and cricket coach Mukesh Kumar welcomed the participants, guests, and spectators.

Winning the toss, CAB Red chose to field first. CAB Blue posted 171 for 8 in their allotted 25 overs, with Neeraj top-scoring with 36 runs, supported by Anuj (27) and Aryan (14). CAB Red’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Shaurya, Raman, and Harsh, each taking two wickets and maintaining tight control over the run rate.

In reply, CAB Red comfortably chased down the target in 22 overs, scoring 173 for 2. Raman shone with the bat, remaining unbeaten on 70 runs, while Farid contributed an important 47. Raman’s all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award.
