Patna: The CAB Challenger Trophy Under-15 Inter School Cricket Tournament got off to a flying start on Friday (March 31) at the Cricket Academy of Bihar (CAB) Ground located at the local Moinul Haq Stadium Complex. The tournament was inaugurated by International cricket coach Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad by releasing the balloon in the air. In the inaugural match, SSR Cricket Club defeated Star XI by 6 wickets.
SSR Cricket Club won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, Star XI scored 93 runs, losing all wickets in 18.3 overs. In reply, SSR Cricket Club won the match by scoring 97 runs for four wickets in 7.4 overs. Ayush (four wickets) of the winning team was given the player of the match award.
