Patna: A meeting of state office bearers of the BJP Sports Cell was organized at Nishant Regency, Fraser Road, under the chairmanship of State Convener Satish Raju. In the meeting, it was unanimously decided to honour sportspersons from Bihar on National Sports Day (August 29) at the BJP state headquarters.
The state convener of the BJP Sports Cell, Satish Raju, said that in view of the indifference of the Bihar government towards the talented sportspersons of Bihar, to boost the morale of the sportspersons of Bihar, a felicitation function for talented sportspersons will be organized at the BJP state headquarters on the occasion of Sports Day. The players who have brought laurels for Bihar by winning medals at national and international level will be honoured, he said.
A five-member committee was formed for the selection of players. The committee members are Jayaprakash Mehta, Bhola Kumar Thapa, Rimjhim, Vikas Singh, and Kanchan.
The state spokesperson of the BJP Sports Cell, Rajeev Ranjan Yadav, Anand Sinha, regional in-charge JP Mehta, Anil Paswan, Sumit Jha, media in-charge Vikas Singh, Bhola Thapa, Sumit Sharma, Kundan Kumar, Ramesh Gupta, Kanchan, Rimjhim, Sushil Kumar, and other workers were present on the occasion.
