BJP Sports Cell felicitates powerlifter Kirti at her native village

Patna: BJP Sports Cell felicitated Kirti Raj Singh, who won 6 gold medals in the Commonwealth Junior Powerlifting Championship held in Auckland, at her native village Hasanpur, Khusrupur block of Patna district. Kirti Raj Singh is the daughter of Lalan Singh, resident of Hasanpur village.

On the occasion, BJP’s national secretary Rituraj Sinha said that Kirti is the first daughter of Bihar who has won 6 gold medals in Power lifting championships for the first time. Kirti’s victory has made the entire country proud. Kirti would attain more heights in her career and bring laurels to the state and the country, he said,

State convenor of BJP Sports Cell Satish Raju said that Bihar’s daughter Kirti Raj Singh has proved that there is no dearth of sports talent in the state. Bihar is not behind any other state. BJP Sports Cell congratulates Kirti for winning the medal in Junior Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship and wishes her a bright future, he said.

Raju said that despite winning 6 gold medals in international tournament, the sports minister of Bihar government has not yet met the daughter of Bihar, shows the indifferent attitude of the Bihar government. This is very disappointing and BJP Sports Cell condemns it, he said. Raju also demanded government job for Kirti.

Senior BJP leaders Keshav Kant Prasad, Vivek Raj Verma, Prateek Rawat, Chandan Bhardwaj, sports cell co-coordinator Mukesh Paswan, spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Yadav, social media in-charge Vikas Singh and  Kirti’s father Lalan Singh were present on the occasion.
