BJP Sports Cell felicitates 160 sportspersons

Patna: Bihar BJP Sports Cell on Monday organised sports award function to felicitate 160 sportspersons from 43 games at Atal Auditorium at BJP state headquarters here. The function was inaugurated by Bihar BJP State President Samrat Choudhary, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi, Jamui MLA Shreyasi Singh, Legislative Council Member Anil Sharma and State Coordinator of BJP Sports Cell Satish Raju. They also paid floral tributes to the portrait of Bharat Ratna Major Dhyan Chand and lit the traditional lamp.

On the occasion, Bihar BJP State President Samrat Choudhary said that on the occasion of National Sports Day, the BJP Sports Cell has done the work of encouraging the talented players of Bihar by organising the sports award function. This felicitation ceremony will increase the morale of the players and they will be able to perform better in the coming in national and international competitions.

Choudhary said that there is no dearth of talented players in Bihar, but due to the indifference of the Bihar government towards the players, they are not getting proper platform.

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Government cum Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi said that by organizing sportsperson’s honour ceremony on National Sports Day, BJP Sports Cell has proved that BJP takes all classes together. With this felicitation ceremony, a new energy will be infused in the players of Bihar, who will work to bring medals for Bihar in the coming days.

Jamui MLA Shreyasi Singh said that BJP is the only party which has formed a sports cell in the interest of the players so that the BJP sports cell can take up the problems of the players on a proper platform.
