Bihar’s Vivek Prakash wins bronze in taekwondo event of 37th National Games

Patna: Bihar got another medal in the taekwondo event of the ongoing 37th National Games in Goa. Vivek Prakash, a resident of Patna district of Bihar, brought glory to Bihar by winning the bronze medal in the over 87 kg weight category. Vivek Prakash had entered the semi-finals by defeating SR Mithun Teja of Tamil Nadu, but lost to P Anand of Goa in the semi-finals.

Before this, Shreya Rani of Begusarai has won the silver medal in the senior women’s under-62 weight category of taekwondo.

This is the seventh medal for Bihar in the National Games 2023. Before this, Bihar women’s rugby sevens team, Shashibhushan in 1500 meter race men’s category and Shreya Rani have won silver medal in taekwondo.

Apart from this, Bihar Sepak Takraw men’s team, Isha Mishra and Ashish Kumar have won bronze medal in Wushu. Bihar has so far won three silver and four bronze medals.
