Bihar’s Sagar Kumar selected in Indian team for Junior World Cup Kabaddi

Patna: Bihar’s Sagar Kumar has been selected in the Indian team to participate in the Junior World Cup Kabaddi. Giving this information, Bihar State Kabaddi Association secretary Kumar Vijay Singh said that Sagar is a resident of Rupas Marwahi village of Bakhtiyarpur block of Patna district. After the selection of Sagar, there is an atmosphere of celebration in his village.

Vijay said that the Indian team has left for Iran to participate in the 2nd Junior World Kabaddi Championship. Sagar Kumar had the best performance while playing for Bihar in the Junior Federation Cup Kabaddi tournament held at Madurai from January 1 to 4, 2023. On the basis of this game, he was selected for the Junior India camp organized in Gandhinagar.

Earlier, playing on behalf of SAI, he had won the gold medal in the National Junior Championship held in Rohtak in the year 2020. He is a member of the Patna Pirates team in the Pro Kabaddi League.

Bihar State Kabaddi Association president Anjani Kumar Singh, secretary Kumar Vijay Singh, vice president Ramakant Singh, Kanhaiya Tanti, joint secretary Anand Shankar Tiwari, Rana Ranjit Singh, Pankaj Kumar Singh and Awadhesh Kumar congratulated Sagar for his selection in the Indian team.
